Configure review reminder emails

What review reminders do

Review Reminder Emails are follow-up emails that prompt customers to leave a product review. In Roadmap, reminder emails are tied to order fulfillment—your timing settings control how many days after an order is fulfilled each reminder is sent.

Enable (or disable) review reminders

Go to your Reviews settings and open Review Reminder Emails. Select Disabled to stop sending review reminder emails, or select Enabled to start sending them. In Send first reminder email after, enter the number of days to wait after an order is fulfilled before the first reminder is sent. In Send second reminder email after, enter the number of days to wait after an order is fulfilled before the second reminder is sent.

How the timing fields work

  • Send first reminder email after: Delay (in days) from fulfillment to the first reminder.
  • Send second reminder email after: Delay (in days) from fulfillment to the second reminder.
The settings describe reminder emails as being sent after orders are fulfilled. If an order is not fulfilled, the reminder schedule won’t start for that order.

Recommended setups

Common default

  • Send first reminder email after: 0–3 days
  • Send second reminder email after: 7–14 days

Higher-consideration products

  • Send first reminder email after: 7+ days
  • Send second reminder email after: 14–30 days
If you see low review conversion, try increasing Send first reminder email after so customers have time to receive and use the product before you ask.

Troubleshooting

Check that Review Reminder Emails is set to Enabled. Then confirm the order has been fulfilled, since reminders are scheduled after fulfillment. Increase the value in Send first reminder email after (days). If the second reminder also feels too close, increase Send second reminder email after as well. Keep Enabled on, then set Send second reminder email after to a much larger number so the second reminder effectively won’t be reached in your normal review window. Be careful with very short delays (for example, 0 days) if your fulfillment happens before delivery. Customers may receive a reminder before they’ve received the product.
