How to set up a fixed bundle

Overview

A Fixed Bundle lets you combine specific products into one bundle offer. In Roadmap, you’ll create the bundle, set optional discounting (including market-specific pricing), add the products, then finish the bundle product setup in Shopify.

Where you’ll work: You’ll build the bundle in Roadmap first, then click Edit Bundle Product to customise the bundle product in Shopify (media, template, collections, channels, and publishing).

Walkthrough

Open the Bundles dashboard

In the Roadmap app, go to Bundles to view existing bundles, manage settings, or create a new one.

Create a fixed bundle in Roadmap

From the Bundles dashboard, click the button to start building a new bundle (you’ll be taken to the New bundle page).

Enter a bundle name for admin reference. This helps you identify the bundle later in the Bundles dashboard.

In the discount field, enter the discount amount for the bundle.

For Fixed Bundles, the bundle price is calculated from the individual product prices you select, minus the discount.

No discount? Discounting is optional—enter 0 to keep the bundle at the combined product price.

If you use Shopify Markets, enable Enable market-specific discounts to control pricing/discounts per location.

When enabled, your markets appear so you can edit each market’s pricing.

Click Add products to add the first item in your bundle.

In the product picker, select your first product, then click Add.

Click Add products again, choose your next product, then click Add.

Repeat until your Fixed Bundle contains all required products.

Click Save to lock in your bundle settings.

Customise the bundle product in Shopify

After saving, your bundle is active in Roadmap and ready to be customised in Shopify. Click Edit Bundle Product to open the bundle product in your Shopify admin.

The bundle product is created inside your Shopify Products list. From there, you can manage the product the same way you would any other product (media, status, collections, tags, and sales channels).

Recommended Shopify settings

Add images/media for the bundle product exactly as you would for any product in Shopify.

In Shopify, leave the bundle product’s price at $0.00.

Bundle product pricing is controlled by Roadmap’s bundle pricing/discount settings—not the Shopify product price.

In the product settings, select bundle-template.

Roadmap bundles do not carry their own inventory. When a bundle is purchased, inventory is deducted from the individual products included in the bundle.

Select your desired collections and add any relevant tags to keep your catalog organised.

Make sure the correct sales channels are selected (for example, Online Store).

When finished, click Done.

Publish the bundle to your storefront

In Shopify, set the bundle product status to Active.

Click Save to publish your updated bundle and make it available to shoppers.

After publishing, test the bundle end-to-end by adding it to cart and confirming the expected bundle pricing and included items. Compare bundle types and choose the right setup for your offer.
