# Where is a customer's loyalty discount code?

Find a discount code from a loyalty redemption or promotion by searching Shopify Discounts with the customer email.

Find a discount code when a customer has lost one from a loyalty redemption, birthday promotion, or tier reward.

#### Search Shopify Discounts by email

Roadmap-generated codes are stored in Shopify Discounts. In Shopify admin, open **Discounts** and search the customer’s email.

Open a result to copy the code for the customer. This includes Discount Code Generator promotions and loyalty redemptions.

#### For unused point redemptions, check loyalty admin too

For an unused point-redemption code, open **Loyalty Program → Unused Loyalty Coupons**. Search by code or email.

Read the code to the customer. Or refund it if they would rather receive their points back.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.roadmap.so/loyalty-and-rewards/troubleshooting/where-is-a-customers-loyalty-discount-code.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
