# GWP not working in Shopify POS?

Fix the two most common reasons a Gift with Purchase does not work in Shopify POS.

If a GWP works online but not in Shopify POS, check these two requirements first:

* the **POS GWP** tile is added to Shopify POS
* the store is on **Shopify POS Pro**

### Why these two checks matter

Roadmap GWPs in POS rely on Shopify automatic discount support.

If the tile is missing, staff cannot trigger the POS flow.

If the store is not on **Shopify POS Pro**, Shopify POS will not support the required automatic discount behaviour.

### Fix it step by step

#### Add the POS GWP tile

In Shopify admin, open the POS app settings.

Find **POS GWP by Roadmap**, then add the **Smart grid tile**.

#### Refresh the POS device

Close and reopen Shopify POS after the tile is added.

#### Confirm Shopify POS Pro

Verify the store is using **Shopify POS Pro**.

#### Retest with a qualifying cart

Use a cart that clearly meets the GWP rules and confirm the gift applies in POS.

### Quick checklist

Make sure all of these are true:

* the **POS GWP** tile shows as added
* staff can see the tile on the POS device
* the store is on **Shopify POS Pro**
* the offer is active and in date
* the test cart meets the GWP conditions

### If the tile is added but the gift still does not apply

Check these next:

* the GWP itself is active
* the offer conditions match the POS cart
* the free gift variant is valid
* another promotion is not interfering
